Does 330d have twin-turbo?
Despite its name, the TwinPower Turbo engine in the 330d is not actually a twin-turbo. It uses a very large single turbocharger to encourage the straight-six unit to produce 265PS and a 580Nm of torque. In real terms, that means a top speed of 155mph and a 0-62mph time of 5.4 seconds.

How does a 335d compare to a 330d?
Having driven a standard 335d LCI at 286bhp the remapped 330d was definitely quicker but the 335d was smoother in delivery. Remap a 335d and you are obviously upping the game again. The std 335d was easy to put the power down, My remapped 330d was altogether more aggressive in delivery, quicker but not so easy to use the power.
Should I remap my 330d?
The 330D is a very under stressed engine. A quick remap will yield an extra 50/55bhp straight away, and improvements in economy (which is already quite a bit better than the auto only 335d anyway). Mine’s a rare manual box too, and was a lot cheaper than a similar condition 335d would have been.
Which is the best 330d to buy?
Lighter on fuel, and on its feet – in all but the most dour of conditions – the rear-wheel drive 330d is the sensible choice. The 4×4 335d’s all-weather talent and brawnier performance does hold justifiable appeal especially when you realise the scope for tuning.
Can you get a 335d xDrive?
You can get the hateful Xdrive in a 1 now, the 120D has a choice. Our lease 330d has just gone back replaced with a brand new 335d xdrive. 335d is rapid sticks like glue round the corners and makes a great noise but for all that it’s a bit blunt compared to the 330d.
