How many members are in the 501st?
I don’t know if this is covered in canon but in legends the 501st was commonly called a legion which is another name for a brigade. There are 9,216 troopers in a brigade.

Does 501st do weddings?
Sorry, no. While you may have seen some photos online of members of the 501st Legion attending birthdays or weddings, the decision to do so is based region to region and is at the discretion of local groups. Members of the Outer Rim Garrison have adopted an internal policy to not attend birthdays or weddings.
How do you become a Stormtrooper?
The only way to become a Stormtrooper was by going through the Imperial Academy. These academies became the training center for Imperial cadets, who are individuals who were recruited to join the Empire. Cadets could be recruited by fellow members of the Empire or simply go to the academy when they were of age.
