Why is it called Roberts Park in Saltaire?
Originally known as Saltaire Park, the park was bequeathed by the Roberts family to Bradford Corporation in 1920 and subsequently renamed Roberts Park in memory of Sir James Roberts’ son. Sir James Roberts was a local business man who took over the Salts textile empire.
