What is Pristiq? Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) is an antidepressant belonging to a group of drugs called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). Desvenlafaxine affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with depression. Pristiq is used to treat major depressive disorder.
