My old Shure, (purchased 15 years ago, which has taken the abuse of a karaoke bar, and still works, but recently started to buzz) had a slider switch, and was, overall, better quality. I can’t say how durable this mic is, as I’ve only used it two nights, but I’ll update later.
How far away from the base does the Shure mic get reception?
Perfect reception at 80+ feet away from the base. We didn’t try to go further than that. Great product and easy to set up. You will need to also order a 3 pin XLR Female to 1/8″ or 1/4″ TRS adapter to connect the Shure receiver to your equipment. Now, if only I can get it for what I paid, about $215 again!! This is a very good microphone!
