UPS packaging is provided free of charge to UPS account holders for selected air and UPS Worldwide Express® services. Other packaging supplies are sold at The UPS Store® and UPS Customer Centre locations.

Yes, UPS will box and package your item for you for free in most cases. There may be an added packaging fee for specialty or large shipments.

Can I send a package in a plastic bag?

Plastic bags must be at least 2 mil thick polyethylene or equivalent for easy loads up to 5 pounds; 4 mil thick for easy loads up to 10 pounds.

What is the cheapest method to ship a package?

USPS will always be the cheapest way to ship compared to FedEx or UPS hands down. However as the weight creeps closer to 2 pounds, USPS shipping costs achieve pricing parity with UPS and FedEx Ground.

Can UPS print a label for me?

Yes, with our Printing Services, you can come in with the label saved on a USB, or Email us the label when you at our store, and we can print and attach it on your item.

Is it cheaper to ship in a bag or box?

Boxes: Boxes are more expensive to purchase as well as to ship, but they are more durable than envelopes or padded mailers. Boxes are ideal for fragile items that require more protection than an envelope can provide, as well as shipments containing multiple items, or heavy or large items.

You can use your own box or UPS packaging supplies. Ideally, you’ll want to use a new corrugated box. Select and use proper cushioning materials for package contents. Wrap items individually and surround them with bubble sheeting and recyclable or foam loose-fill materials. Content should not directly touch the inside of the shipping box.
