Is Sabian a good brand?
Sabian is one of the best cymbals manufacturers in the world but the same as every big company they have a wide range of products. However, it is not always straightforward. There are a series of the same price and quality but are made of different materials and have a different purpose.
What are Sabian AAX made of?
B20 Bronze
Like most cymbals from Sabian, AAX cymbals are made from B20 Bronze which gives them their pronounced sound and extended durability. New thinner AAX cymbals offer a palette of darker tones to their range, while still sitting on the brighter side of thinner cymbals.
Are Sabian better than Zildjian?

What are Sabian cymbals made of?
Sabian and Meinl simply call it B20, while Paiste calls it CuSn20 and Zildjian calls it “Zildjian Secret Alloy.” They’re all the same though — and they’re all made up of 80 percent copper and 20 percent tin. Sometimes, they’ll also have trace amounts of silver.
Is Paiste a good cymbal brand?
Unless you really know your cymbals, a good rule of thumb is to stick with one of the bigger brands like Zildjian, Sabian, Meinl or Paiste. They are all excellent, and it is unlikely you will ever get a bad sounding cymbal from these brands.
Should cymbals be stored upright?
Always use a cymbal bag or case if they’re not on stands. First off, it’s much easier to carry them around, but more importantly, it helps protect them when stored for long periods and when traveling. If you need to put cymbals on the floor, lay them flat, don’t stand them on their edge.
Is Brasso good for cleaning cymbals?
Although it will really make your cymbal shine, Brasso was not made for the specific cleansing of cymbals, so it will take the logos off of your cymbals. This can be avoided substituting Brasso with soap and water to clean areas of the cymbal with logos.
