What has happened to Llangollen Railway?
On 1 March 2021 the Llangollen Railway PLC announced that it was going into receivership, with debts of about £350,000 and “no prospect” of meeting their liabilities. Operation of the railway was handed over to the Llangollen Railway Trust, and the line reopened July 2021.

Their original vision grew into what you can see today. 10 miles of track have been re-laid westwards along the track-bed of the old Ruabon to Barmouth main line, through to Corwen. Services currently run 7.5 miles to Carrog and volunteers are working hard to enable Corwen Station to open in 2022.
