Can you power BuildCraft with Industrialcraft?
The Power Converters mod adds several machines with the ability to convert BuildCraft power (MJ) into Industrial Craft power (EU) and vice versa.
How do you convert powers in Tekkit?
The Power Converters mod allows users to efficiently convert one form of power to another. This is achieved by sending power into a Consumer placed next to an Energy Bridge and then drawing the power out of a Producer (also placed next to the Energy Bridge).
How do you use energy bridges?
To use the Energy Bridge you need at least one consumer and producer. You can turn one sort (EU/MJ/Steam or FZ) Producer/Consumer lossless into another, just put one of them in the left upper crafting slot in a Crafting Table.

The Pump is a machine in BuildCraft that pumps water, lava, and oil into tanks for storage or into other machines for use. The Pump can be powered using Redstone Flux (RF) or a Redstone Engine.

The mod is not cross-compatible, BuildCraft machines can accept RF(FE), but BuildCraft engines still generate only MJ (Functionality may be added in the future)!
