Is WPI open to visitors?
Your visit to WPI will include an information session followed by a campus tour given by a WPI student. The tour will include access to most buildings and all visitors will have the opportunity to speak with an admissions counselor. Please note, we are unable to show a residence hall on the campus tour at this time.
Is housing guaranteed at WPI?
As at many universities in densely populated regions, demand for on-campus housing at WPI is extremely high. While we guarantee on-campus housing for first-year students, we know we cannot provide housing for all upperclass students who seek it.
What time do WPI decisions come out?
WPI offers two rounds of Early Action with application deadline of November 1 or January 15. You’ll receive your admission decision by January 15 (November 1 submission) or March 1 (January 15 submission). Applying Early Action does not commit you to the university if accepted.

Is WPI library open to public?
The Gordon Library is open to the WPI community, alumni, and the general public. Please note that after 8pm Sunday – Friday and 6pm on Saturday, card access is needed to enter the building. Find the library’s location on the campus map.
Can you have a car at WPI?
All eligible vehicles must be registered with the WPI Police Department and must display a current parking permit within the first two weeks of A-Term. A parking quick facts card will be given to all students during the registration process. The college’s entire parking regulations are posted on the WPI Police website.
Does WPI have single dorms?
We are thrilled that you will be joining the WPI community for your collegiate career! The majority of first-year housing will be in double and triple occupancy rooms. Students who choose not to find a roommate, forming a group of one, will not be guaranteed a single room.
