Do Feit bulbs work with dimmer switch?

How do you install a smart light switch on a Feit?
Download and install the Feit Electric App on your smart device. Carefully position all wires inside the wall-box, leaving enough room to insert the dimmer housing. Secure the dimmer inside the wall-box using the provided mounting screws. Tap Add Device or the + sign, then select Smart Dimmer and confirm.
Is there a special switch for LED lights?
A standard dimmer switch cannot be used with an LED light as you will never be able to dim the LED light either completely or not very well. LED lights need their own special electronic dimmer switch to have a fully functioning and dimming light.
How do you pair a Feit light switch?
You must Allow Feit Electric App to access your location to connect to your device. Make sure you are connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network. Tap Controls & Sensors and select Dimmer Switch. Tap + in the upper right corner NOTE: If this is the first device you are setting up, you can also select Add Device.
Are there any smart switches that don’t require a neutral wire?

The app will direct you to your phone settings screen. Unselect your 2.4 GHz WiFi network and choose the SmartLife network. After you have connected to SmartLife return to the Feit Electric app. Note: After connecting your device your phone will automatically rejoin your original 2.4 GHz network.
Do LED lights need a special dimmer switch?
Yes, LED lights require a special dimmer. An old fashioned incandescent dimmer switch will not work properly with LED bulbs. You cannot just simply lower the voltage to the LED driver.
Are Costco Feit lights dimmable?
I was a little worried because the FEIT LED string lights from Costco did not contain the magic word – Dimmable – anywhere in the product description. (Which is funny because all replacement LED bulbs you buy at Home Depot do specify whether an LED bulb is dimmable).
Can I use ground as neutral for smart switch?
While connecting the neutral of a smart switch to ground might work, never do this! The reason it will work is that ground is often connected to neutral in the electrical panel, meaning it will be at a very similar voltage allowing current to flow from hot to ground.
Why is a neutral wire needed for smart switch?
A neutral wire also provides individual dimming functionality for the controller’s switches. In addition to their neutral wire-needing smart switches, some brands have tried to offer more inclusive options to older homes.

These smart light bulbs work with Alexa or Google Assistant (devices sold separately) using voice commands. Control WiFi bulbs from anywhere with your smartphone using the Feit Electric app (compatible with Android & iOS). There’s no need for any special smart home hubs.

Even if you stick with the bigger brands listed above, it means that Smart Life supports a huge range of products, including, but not limited to, smart bulbs, plugs, air purifiers, light strips, robot vacuum cleaners, security cameras and light switches.
Is Tuya and Smart Life the same?
Tuya Smart App and Smart Life App are both official Tuya App. The only difference between the two is that the Tuya Smart App uses the Tuya logo and elements, while the Smart Life App removes all Tuya logo and elements.
